Brainwave Entrainment

What is Brainwave Entrainment?

It is the practice of entraining one's brainwaves to a desired frequency using binaural beats, isochronic tones, white noise or other types of entrainment audio. These special audio techniques coax your mind into a different level of consciousness designed for self-meditation to go into very specific levels of trance. These include practising meditation, promoting sleep, studying and many other tasks. Through lowering or even increasing your brainwave patterns you can make significant mental, emotional and physical improvements.

What are Binaural Beats, White Noise & Isochronic Tones?

Binaural beats happen when two separate sound frequencies are played together with one frequency is heard by one ear and the other is heard by the other ear. The difference between the notes, measured in Hertz, will result in a binaural frequency; a combination of the two notes that your brain picks up on. Binaural quickly and effectively alter brainwave patterns but must be used through headphones to ensure that each sound is individually processed through each ear.
Isochronic tones differ here as they are effective when listened through speakers or headphones. They are created by pulsating sounds at different intervals and the resulting isochronic frequency is the amount of times the sound is pulsated in one second.
White noise, similar to static heard on tv or radio, is a mixture of every audible tone that humans can hear. White noise is very effective as a ‘carrier note’ for the binaural and isochronic tones and with tones working better for some people it can be essentially more appealing to have binaural or isochronic tones embedded in white noise.
